My name is Heather.
Artist. Photographer. Explorer. Nature lover. Anti coal activist. Bone collector.

I spend my time exploring and studying the Appalachian Mountains. A vast region, often overlooked, but home to some of the most beautiful and lush forests in the world. I am in love with the wilderness, it is my home, my peace, and what keeps me sane. I make my living as an artist, selling jewelry and other creations. I live a very free lifestyle... outside the lines society has drawn for us. THIS is the society that I love and respect.

Things I've Created

The vet sold us some stuff to put in the hole, and some iodine.
They told us we could do at home, everything they would do in the office.
Because Brutus is eating and drinking, they weren’t too worried about him.
If he stops eating and drinking, then it’s time to really worry.
They made me feel a lot better honestly.
Brutus is a super tough cat, you all just don’t know all he’s been through.
This is BY FAR the worst, but with care, I believe he will be fine.

It was crazy though… the hole is sooo deep.
When we were stuffing that sponge stuff in it, we really got an idea of how bad it really was.
You could fit a pencil eraser (the metal part too) into the hole.

I’m outraged that this has happened to my kitty.
He didn’t deserve this.
